Max's musical career began on a Sunday evening at the age of five while watching the Beatles on a rerun of the Ed Sullivan Show. Soon after, he began his musical career with his first set of drums. After playing the drums for a few years he switched to guitar. The switch was for no other reason than the lack of guitar players in the town he grew up in and the desire to be in a rock band. Over the years Max has written, recorded and played guitar for the bands “Max”, “Myth”, “751”, “Loose Change”, “Primative”, “Streak”, “GrayDJack”, and "Gravel Pudding".
Max has had the opportunity to play with many talented musicians. Sharing the stage with the likes of Nantucket, Doc Holiday and others. His many influences include Led Zeppelin, Rush, Iron Maiden, Sound Garden, UFO, Journey, and too many others to list. In 2007 Max left Raleigh to settle in Western North Carolina.
Now as a member of ‘Clockworx’ Max is looking forward to writing, recording and being in a working band once again.
